Privately located in a quiet setting yet only 5 minutes to Jefferson it's the perfect escape from the busy world we live in.

A well-appointed kitchen with granite counters and wine bar is sure to please even the most discerning chefs in the family. A large pantry and laundry area is just off of the kitchen. Enjoy a family meal at the dining table while enjoying the sounds and view of the cascading waterfall outside.

Pure Indulgence features two master suites, one on each side of the cabin. The first is a spacious master suite with a comfy king bed, expansive windows that offers mountain views, and a bath with double vanities, an over-sized whirlpool tub for soaking your cares away, as well as a separate step-in shower. A large walk-in closet is great for storing clothing.

The second master suite also has a king bed and a bay window perfect for curling up with a good book! The private bath is outfitted with double vanities, another large Jacuzzi-whirlpool tub for relaxation, and a step-in shower as well.

The additional two bedrooms on the main level share a hall bath with a tub and shower combo. Each bedroom features a queen bed with elegant bedding and views of the mountains.

Downstairs, you will find an open family room with flat screen TV and sectional sofa - great for movie night with the family! This level also features a wet bar with small refrigerator for storing drinks and snacks. A set of twin bunk beds are also available for additional sleeping along with another half bath.

Out back, relax in the bubbling hot tub in the screened-in porch as you listen to the cascading waterfall that flows down to the Koi Pond. Another screened area offers seating for those just wanting to enjoy the sounds of nature.

You’re sure to want to take a stroll and enjoy the 75 acres that surround this property. Easy hiking and mountain views abound. Be sure to hike down to the hidden creek just at the edge of the property.

Located less than 2 miles from the New River (and a canoe rental company), and only 5 miles from Jefferson, this is the perfect vacation rental for those wanting to dine out, explore the area, fish or canoe the river.   My Mom, Aunt & Uncle, cousin and 3 siblings and I stayed at this lovely home to attend another cousin's wedding nearby. The setting was beautiful-- with views of the mountains right out every window! Beautiful stone front porch. House was clean and ready for our stay. Beds are very comfortable-- and 4 full baths helps for multiple people staying! Property in our opinion was nicer in person than the pictures reflect. Hot tub was good size and the screen porch kept most of the bugs out. Security gate at the entrance to the driveway was one more layer of security. Wonderful stay.

  Beautiful location near town.
  Combo lock on door didn’t work but was able to get in within 30 minutes of arrival with help of several office staff. Would be helpful to have outside stairs lit at night, lamppost not working.
  Screened in porch overlooking creek and pond was so peaceful and my granddaughter loved the koi fish!
  Exit instructions allow 1 load of laundry done by cleaning staff, additional to be done by customer or you will be charged. Washing linens for 4 beds plus towels cannot be done in 1 load, and to request it done before checkout the day of departure is unreasonable.

  We had a wonderful week at the Ponderosa! We had 9 family members ranging in age from 5 to 76. The house was lovely and had everything we needed and more. We did bring a large covered skillet and a stock pot for large meal prep but everything else was provided. The house was large and sound-proof! We enjoyed the waterfall and fish pond off the screened-in porch in the mornings and the front porch at night, looking up at the stars and out over the hills at the deer in the fields and listening to the calls of the wildlife (deer, cows, etc.) We enjoyed the bird seed feeder outside the kitchen window and the hummingbird feeder next to the waterfall.
  The digital lock on the front door was convenient since we didn’t need to keep track of a key. Our GPS worked just fine to get us there and around the area. Our US Cellular phones worked well, too. We used the gas grill almost every day. We hung a clothes line in the garage for swim towels and our youngest had a great time riding his scooter on the driveway and in the garage.
  The Master Bedroom closet was a pleasant surprise. It was very large and acted as a storage room for everyone’s extras and suitcases.
  We highly recommend the PONDEROSA for a relaxing vacation!

  Generally the house was spacious and well laid out.I have rented many houses for vacations over the years & could give some suggestions to this owner for making a good place even better. Kitchen looked beautiful but could use more table knives, plastic cutting boards, crock-pot. Separate master bedroom needs a table on both sides of the bed, alarm clock & softer than concrete mattress. Hallway bathroom needs a shelving unit for toiletries. Furniture on front porch could use updating. Paper products should be supplied for the entire rental period.If I stayed at a hotel(less expensive), toilet paper & tissues would be furnished for the entire stay.The house was clean but there was an obvious build-up of dust under any furniture in the LR that wasn't sitting flat on the floor.Some window sills were covered with dust & dead flies; woodwork-especially in the bathrooms needed dusted.Just a little extra from house-keeping would remedy issues. Also, if you are going to have rules-such as keeping the grill clean-then enforce them.Four days into our stay we decided to use the BBQ grill. Imagine our surprise when we found 8 petrified hot dogs inside and the grease trap looked as though it had never been cleaned. None of these issues would keep me from renting this beautiful house, but with a little effort there wouldn't even be any issues. Just a note:be careful on the carpeted steps to lower level. Two people in our group slipped on stairs and slid all the way down. It would be safer to remove the carpeting which seems to be "slick" in spots. There was confusion as to check-out times. Advanced email from owner and instructions posted on fridge state 11:00 but email from rental company states 10:00.The instructions pertaining to laundering sheets and towels are not clear. I've never been instructed to launder the linens before leaving in any other rental house I've stayed in. Would rent again if these suggestions were heeded.

We do leave starter rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom and paper towels in the kitchen. This is included in our paperwork that you will need to provide any extra. Check out time is at 10 am and we are working to update this across all platforms. We do not ask our guests to do all the laundry. We do ask that you strip the beds you use and place soiled sheets and towels in the bathtub closest to the washer and dryer. We do hope you will stay with us again in the future.

  My family rented this property we had a great time and the house was in great condition except there was a leak from one of the bathrooms while we were there. The management company had someone come out quickly but we could not take baths in that bathroom for the remainder of our time. Because the handyman could not do a complete fix while we were present. Besides this issue we would still definitely come back.

  This house was absolutely amazing! The location was perfect. We felt like we had privacy, but were close to everything. We love going to downtown West Jefferson and this house was really close. The house was very well stocked. The hot tub and koi pond were so relaxing. The mattresses were a little too firm for my liking, but I know lots of people like a firm mattress. All the furniture was in good condition and we felt right at home. We will definitely be back.

  Wonderful enjoyed everything. Only issues is when the maintenance came and fixed the lights they went back out the next day. So the house may have some electric issues that need to be looked into. Also the some of the light sockets were over heating. Also the hot tub was sandy for some reason even after they ce and cleaned it out.

  We stayed at this property 4 years ago and it was as great as we remembered! We LOVE the property. It is unique in that all the bedrooms are on the same level and the hot tub is off the kitchen on a screened in porch - all are pluses for us as we have 3 young children that we wanted near us at night and also loved the perk of allowing them to be in the hot tub while we cooked dinner and yet still supervised. The property is large, and that is also so nice with kids - we loved walking the trail on the property and letting the kids run in woods on the property. I would say that if you plan to cook, bring your own knives - everything I tried was VERY dull. I'd probably also bring my own pot because I couldn't find one big enough for what I wanted to do and I'd bring a cutting board (something else I couldn't find). The property management group was also VERY kind and helpful. It was a wonderful stay.

  The whole family had a great time exploring, going for walks on trails, playing games or just sitting on the porch relaxing watching the kids shoot their slingshots. Also just down the road we were able to go fishing. There was some thing for our whole group of eight from a 5 year old to a 75 to do. Would definitely recommend and we will go back.
