Inside you will find an open floor plan with a great room that includes vaulted ceilings, leather seating, a stone fireplace, central heat and air, satellite TV, dining area and modern kitchen. The cabin also offers 2 master suites each with king beds and private bathrooms. One located on the main floor with private access to the porch, picnic area and hot tub.

The other master suite is located on the second floor alongside an open loft that serves as another bedroom with a daybed and trundle with vaulted ceilings and windows that can be used to enjoy the heavenly views.

A Heavenly View, Absolute High, Bluff Mountain Retreat, Picture Perfect and Rest Assured are all located in the same neighborhood, offering lodging for family reunions, church gatherings and corporate retreats.

A Heavenly View is a Carolina Mountain Properties & Rentals property. Our calendar and rates are updated instantaneously. We strive to make it as easy as possible to stay at one of our properties. We will notify you proactively when an early check in is possible and you’ll receive the comforts of a luxury home when you arrive with a starter supply of paper products, hand soaps and lotions. In addition, we offer 24/7 emergency after hours service. Carolina Mountain Properties & Rentals uses one of the industry’s most trusted brand of software to securely store all guest data.   The cabin was clean and in very good condition. The view is wonderful and we were able to see a couple of beautiful sunrises, We also had a little snow while we were there. It's not far from town but also has a remote type feel. There are other homes around but it felt very private to us.

  My family rented this cabin for a four day weekend trip at the end of January. The cabin location is terrific, it has great views and convenient to West Jefferson along with other towns and attractions. The cabin is pet friendly and definitely my fault for not considering that when booking as we do not have pets. So immediately I could smell "dog" upon entering. I was pleasantly surprised that there was little to no dog hair in the home. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you would need. The appliances all seem newer and are clean. There were some minor housekeeping issues but not enough to ruin our trip or anything. We will use Carolina Mtn Vac Rentals again in the future, it was so easy to book the house. The few times I spoke with an employee from the company they were very nice. We probably would not rent this cabin again but try one of the others they have in this neighborhood.

A Heavenly View does allow pets. We have very stringent cleaning practices and strive to ensure that no home smells like a dog even if they allow pets. We certainly would have been happy o find you a property that was not pet friendly prior to booking if you had asked. We do hope you will stay with us again.

  We had a wonderful time in west Jefferson. This rental was super clean (except for spiders and webs on deck and front doorway-don’t know if anything can be done about that though!) the hot tub was older but still worked and was nice for relaxing. Beds were comfortable and sheets were nice and clean. I would recommend more towels and ones that are in better condition. We washed them before use. Everything worked but water pressure is low and you are supposed to throw away toilet paper instead of flushing. I would rent this home again bc it was so clean and close to the super charming town. And the really good food at the recommended restaurants were a nice surprise!

  The views are fantastic. Cabin was clean. The refrigerator made a very loud annoying noise whenever it was running. Make sure you take what shower soap you will need because they provide one bar of soap that’s not much bigger than a quarter. Living room furniture is starting to get worn out . But all in all it was a good place and great location just needs a little maintenance and updates to a great place

As for soap, we leave an initial supply of hand soaps in each bathroom at the sink to get guests started. We do not supply full size bar soap.   The Cabin is Well Equipped to cook a meal if you would like to stay in or just get in your car and go to one of the Amazing Restaurants they have in West Jefferson or Jefferson.

  We brought our 3 teen sons and 2 dogs to do some hiking. The home was beautiful and a unique place to stay, adding to our vacation. My parents met us from Ohio so the 2 master bedrooms really worked well for us. Everything worked in the home, and we brought my son's Nintendo Switch to hook up in the living room for evening gaming. The table was really nice for cards too. We cooked in the home and also ate out. We found many dog friendly places in town. We would definitely go again!!

  My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this property. It is well-managed, clean, has all the perks of a mountain escape - wonderful view, fireplace, hot tub, nice outdoor furniture - and comforts of home - good appliances, central, heating and air, comfortable bed, spacious living area, bedrooms and bathrooms. The location was perfect, being 5 minutes from downtown West Jefferson allowed us to go for a quick trip for dinner without having to be in our car for too long. And the views up and down the mountain where this development is situated were gorgeous. There are 2 large bedrooms /master suites with bathrooms, a 1/2 bath on the 1st floor and a loft with a day bed and trundle. You could comfortably sleep a family upstairs and another couple downstairs.

  This is a very cozy clean cabin with an awesome view. There is everything you need for a vacation at your fingertips. The only upgrade I would suggest is a larger TV in the living room. This is a perfect cabin for 2 couples as there are 2 bedrooms with private baths on each floor. Easy to find and minutes to West Jefferson. Planning the next trip with friends for some shopping and golf.

  As always, this cabin serves as a retreat for Christmas. It has plenty of room in the bedrooms and adequate room for cooking meals.
  I would say after many years here, I'd love to see a much larger TV mounted to the fireplace or wall that has the ability to tilt as the sofas are much lower than the actual TV on the mantle. That would be a great upgrade to this cabin that would not cost a lot. Otherwise, we love it and keep coming back. It's so fun to go to Boone and then spend Christmas Eve walking in downtown West Jefferson, grabbing a coffee at Bohemia while playing checkers, or just doing a bit of window shopping to enjoy the holiday.

  We are going to stay here again and Highly recommend this cabin. It was perfect for our little family.

  Property was properly described and in a great location. We did have to call regarding couple of maintenance issues. Response was adequate. We would rent this property again. A gas grill would be nice. Our charcoal cooking skills not so great! Only complaint was the grass... We stayed for 12 days and reported on Monday after arrival on Saturday the need for the grass to be mowed...This was never taken care needless to say we were very limited in where we could walk and where we could find grass short enough for our small dog to potty. We were told they were on a lawn maintenance schedule and they had had lots of rain. It did
  rain some during our stay , but never all day rains that would have prevented mowing. This definitely needs to be addressed .

  We first found the property through a Google search and quickly realized we were on a "resellers' site. So we did a local search and found this WONDERFUL local company, Carolina Mountain Properties and Rentals. By going directly to Carolina Mountain Property & Rentals, the rental fee was about $100 cheaper than the reseller site. On top of that, it was very reassuring to work with local people who know their area and their rentals. Everyone we talked to in the office was super nice, friendly and helpful. The only negative comment is that linens were not necessarily top of the line, but what do you expect at this rate? The cabin had everything we needed, from coffee pot to comfy beds. We'll be back!

  Valentines weekend getaway to this very nice cabin. Well stocked kitchen with all the plates, utensils, pots and pans you might need. Very clean when we arrived. Gas fireplace worked great. Hot tub was quite nice but note that it is slightly smaller than your typical hot tub; still, we got four of us in the it. Very nice views. Only negative was the WiFi only worked intermittently. We had to power it on/off several times throughout the weekend. But, on the other hand, we came to the mountains to “get away” from all that...

  This was our second Christmas in this cabin over many years with Carolina Mountain Properties. It's a great, cozy cabin for the holidays. Spacious bedrooms and everything needed to make it a great experience. The only things I would change to make this cabin more comfortable would be to mount a larger tv over the fireplace. It's small and hard to see from the furniture layout. Also, the loveseat needs a large ottoman for two because it is facing the tv and it' sometimes hard to sit there for a while if you are enjoying a movie. The loveseat is not that deep so you strain your legs over a period of time. Overall though, I love this place and would rent it again.

  We loved this home! It was perfect for our family of 4 plus our two dogs. The home was spotless when we arrived and had a good supply of the basics - toilet paper, paper towels, plenty of towels, bed linens, pots and pans, wine glasses etc. The beds (both kings) were super comfortable!
  
  The house was bigger than I expected. In addition to the two king suites, there is also an open loft area with a twin bed and trundle and the couch in the living room also folds out, so it would have slept more than the four of us. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and the view could not have been better! It was great to sit on the porch in the mornings and evenings and just enjoy the view. The hot tub is on the porch and the fire pit is just below it on the ground - so it's perfect. There is a charcoal grill outside too as well.
  
  The only downside to this property is that noise carries inside. My teenagers were on the second floor above our bedroom and I heard every step they took. Perhaps some throw rugs would help with that, but it may just be the price you pay for such a beautiful rustic looking cabin with wood floors, walls, stairs etc.
  
  We drove to the New River State Park (two different sections) on two different days for hiking and swimming with the dogs - about 15 min away. We booked a river tubing trip, which was lovely, but about 45 minutes away. And, we also went Whitewater Rafting out of Boone, which was great fun but made for a long day.
  
  The cabin is convenient to town, grocery shopping, Walmart and more. We would definitely stay here again!

  Overall we loved the cabin. It was for the most part clean and had a beautiful view.
  When we first arrived there were lots of dead bugs on the floor by the windows which told me it hadn't been cleaned recently (which is fine, I just swept them up). However the bugs kept coming back during the entire stay. And it wasn't a ton, I just felt like I killed maybe 6 bugs a day. I would just suggest to the owners maybe doing a spray treatment every once in a while.
  Also the wifi is very spotty and unreliable. We didn't have any cell signal, which I expected, but having unreliable wifi was sort of a concern (only because I needed to get a little work done while I was there but wasn't able to do so because it kept dropping out).
  Even with those two concerns, we would still consider renting this cabin again. It was easy to get to, had a great view and was perfect for our little family. It had everything we needed. We even brought toilet paper and paper towels but didn't even need to use what we brought. It is also very close to West Jefferson, you can see it from the cabin.

  Perfect... relaxing location but close enough to stores to be convenient. Two master bedrooms are perfect for two couples to go and fun but with privacy for both. Great floor plan layout. Kitchen was very friendly to cook meals. Hot tub and fire pit was a great relaxing treat every night.   The cabin is in great condition, quite new looking and private. We did hit some bad weather, Charlie hurricane remnants, but there still was pretty much to do; shop in town (plenty of shops and friendly people), visit Blowing Rock and the town...which is beautiful and took in some music concerts. Wish it was closer to us, we live in NY, or we would go much more often. Everyone will enjoy the views!

  We were thrilled with the appearance of the place when we arrived, despite the fact that there were quite a few bugs in the house. We attributed it to the windows which were left open (we assumed) by housekeeping staff. That night, however, we found the pullout couch unusable due to about 50 dead bugs folded inside the mattress. We also found dead flies folded in the towels and hair in the bed sheets, indicating that they had not been changed since the previous renter left. We sent photos and videos to the staff in the morning, and were promised that they would clean the house while we were out. When we returned that night, we were disappointed to find that the pullout couch had NOT been cleaned at all, and was again unusable. Clearly the staff had not looked at the photos or videos sent, and were not thorough in their cleaning. When we called, the office staff sent someone to clean the pullout right away, which was good. We were told we would be refunded for part of our stay for the inconvenience. That was 3 weeks ago, and thus far we have not heard anything from the company about a refund.

  I absolutely love A Heavenly View. The owners made a few changes that I noticed right away. First, a step was added to the existing steps at the entrance. Thank you! For me, this made it much safer, as I am clumsy. Second, a nice, new charcoal grill. That was definitely needed and appreciated. Third, a beautiful and comfortable 2 seat bistro set was added to the porch. I enjoyed that the most and spent lots of time there absorbing the peace and gorgeous views. A Heavenly View is the best ever. I go there every chance I can, as it is my home away from home .West Jefferson is the best little town. Walking the streets, visiting the shops, brings back great memories of my youth. Thank you owners & CMP for this. You all are the best!

  This cabin is set high on a mountain well above West Jefferson with a beautiful view . Arrived well before check in time and cabin was ready for us . Inside was clean and met our expectations of what we were looking for and all things were as described . We had a few issues with very minor things such as door knob was falling off door, cabinet door was broken, light bulb out in the bedroom,and we could not get the coffee pot to work so we bought one for 10 bucks at the local walmart but these things did not affect the stay. They do state there is a fools ball table but it is a mini one for kids.Shopping at the local Walmart was a great plus to help with the cost of eating out. The travel to Boone and the parkway were with in reasonable times travel when taking the 221 to the 421 which took about 30 minutes . Internet and tv were a great plus when it came to searching for things to do and when the weather became rainy etc and we chose to stay inside. I would highly recommend this to anyone for a great place to stay. This was our first time to the western part of NC and the views are amazing , just keep in mind traveling time through these mountains takes time and roads are very curvy and steep..lol . We traveled to Linville Caves about 1hour and 30 minutes away and also went up Grandfather mountain and traveled the parkway to see the many views at certain points along the way . We wish had more than 3 days stay. I hope this review is helpful in making your trip a better stay.

  This was my first cabin trip and overall we had a great experience, but our experience could have used a few minor tweaks. The cabin was exactly as described, very clean and comfortable, with a nicely outfitted kitchen. The beds were comfortable and we had adequate bathrooms for all. The directions provided by the rental agency were clearly written. Communication with the agency was great, they responded promptly and the two small maintenance items we required were taken care of the same day we called. The location of the cabin is perfect; beautiful views of the valley and a secluded feeling, but we were less than ten minutes from town where there's an Ingles grocery, ABC store and a Walmart in case you forgot anything at home.
  The only complaints I have would be minor ones, that had minimal impact on our overall vacation: first, this cabin bills itself as being able to sleep six, which is true, but the hot tub is quite small and can only comfortably accommodate two. The weekend we visited (myself and five friends) was very cold so we didn't spend a whole lot of time in the hot tub, but we would have liked a bigger one. The second is the barbecue grill; it's a charcoal grill, and being on top of a mountain it's super windy. I couldn't get the grill lit due to the wind. A gas grill might have been better. I would recommend that if you want to cook steaks, bring along a cast iron skillet from home in case you have to cook them on the stove; the cookware in the cabin is adequate but basic, and it's usually too windy to keep the grill lit. Also, there are only four chairs to the dining table, so two of us had to sit on rather uncomfortable stools during meals and board game time.
  
  I will probably rent this cabin again, but with a smaller group of friends. Would definitely recommend it, but I think it might be better for a smaller group than six, or for a family with younger kids.

  This was the first time my husband and I ever took a vacation. After two weeks of searching the internet, I found Carolina Mountain Properties. Website was easy to use. I called and booked with "Jennifer's" great help. She found us the perfect place. When we arrived I was so impressed, that we decided this would be our spot from now on. The views were spectacular, making you feel close to Heaven. Everything you needed was right at your fingertips. All we had to do was buy a few groceries. After our two hour ride the hot tub was delicious. An added bonus, 10 or less minutes from the quaint and cozy downtown West Jefferson, a wonderful way to spend the day.
