Cozy Cottage

Welcome to the Cozy Cottage, a renovated home sitting on a private acre of land across from Big Horse Creek & less than a mile from downtown Lansing and the Creeper Trail Park! The cottage offers 3 BR & 1 BA, spacious living room, large kitchen, laundry/mud room, AC/heat mini split & separate heating units in each BR, private surroundings, outside sitting area, fire pit, and ample parking.
It's comfy & convenient!
For some winter fun, head to one of our three most popular ski resorts: Appalachian Ski Mtn, Sugar Mtn, or Beech Mtn.

WiFi, Roku TVs in living room & bunk bed room, Alexa, fully stocked kitchen.

The space

The cottage was built in the 50's, and is a quaint and charming place. It's a standard ceiling height for the era with the addition of enhancements and modern conveniences added for your comfort.

OUTDOOR SEATING AREA: four top iron table to enjoy eating and relaxing outdoors. Cushions for the chairs are in the storage shed. (A two chair outdoor seating area is behind storage shed to the left for total privacy).

FIRE PIT AREA: Iron fire pit atop pavers for stability with spark screen and poker. Chairs for getting cozy by the fire are in the storage shed.

FRONT PORCH: twinkle lights and 2 person wooden porch swing to enjoy the sounds of the Big Horse Creek or do some stargazing.

LIVING ROOM: Couch with seating for 3, two reclining chairs, coffee table, ceiling fan, electric fireplace /tv console unit, 32 inch LG tv with Roku, and Amazon Alexa at your service..

KITCHEN/DINING AREA: New mini-split system for AC and heat, 2 ceiling fans, dining table for 4-6 (could double as a work area), dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, stove, Keurig, drip coffee maker, microwave.

PRIMARY BEDROOM: queen size bed with nightstand, 2 windows, dresser, closet, ceiling fan, and wall heater for chilly nights.

SECOND BEDROOM: double bed with nightstand, 2 windows, dresser, closet, ceiling fan, and wall heater for chilly nights.

THIRD BEDROOM: bunkbeds, 1 window, drawers for clothing, Roku LG 24 inch tv, ceiling fan, and wall heater for chilly nights. (Bunkbeds - 200lb weigh max each).

LAUNDRY ROOM/MUD ROOM: accessed through kitchen or the back door with full sized washer & dryer, and storage cabinet for cleaning supplies.

  The Cozy Cottage and Lancing are both cute and comfortable. My vacation was quiet and relaxing. I enjoyed the sound of the nearby water and birds. I always enjoy my stay at the cottage. The grounds and house are clean and well maintained. The location was near local restaurants and a walking park. West Jefferson was near for shopping and scenic drives.
