Located 5 minutes from downtown West Jefferson and featuring mountain views, this custom-built tiny home offers guests a unique and inexpensive Carolina Mountain retreat. Petite Retreat is the perfect place for two to make lasting memories.

From the moment you arrive, Petite Retreat greets you with a wine bottle tree that glistens in the sunlight and solar lights at night. Climb the steps to the tiny house and you’ll find a covered porch with two chairs complete with side tables for the morning cup of coffee or enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sunset.

Inside, you will find a spacious living area. There’s a comfy leather loveseat with recliners for two. A flatscreen TV that swivels so you can catch the game or curl up in the queen size bed and watch a good movie.

The kitchen area offers an induction cooktop, microwave, a mini fridge/freezer, and Keurig for the coffee lovers. There is plenty of cabinet space as well. Don’t want to cook inside? Then head outside to the full-size gas grill.

A cozy queen size bed with pull out drawers underneath in case extra storage is needed. There is also a private curtain that you can pull if you want to block out the natural light.

At the back of the tiny home is full size bath complete with step-in shower and sliding barn door for privacy.
Outside, you will love sitting around the gas fire pit and enjoying the starry sky at night.

If you love outdoor adventures, Petite Retreat is a great base. Whether you wish to hike in Grayson Highlands State Park, venture out on the Blue Ridge Parkway to take in the scenic views, or fish and/or canoe the New River, this tiny home is close to it all. We will notify you proactively when an early check in is possible and you’ll receive the comforts of a luxury home when you arrive with a starter supply of paper products, hand soaps and lotions. In addition, we offer 24/7 emergency after hours service. Carolina Mountain Properties & Rentals uses one of the industry’s most trusted brand of software to securely store all guest data. All of our vacation rentals follow local and state tax rules. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, cleaning fee, and a processing fee. Carolina Mountain Properties & Rentals also offers an optional trip interruption insurance to protect your investment.

  We enjoyed our stay in the tiny house outside of West Jefferson. It was mostly quiet (occasional road noise), very comfortable and peaceful. We wish the outside fire had been a wood burning firepit, but with the burn ban in effect- that would have been a bummer. For aesthetics, it also would be nice to have a head producing electric fireplace inside vs just the heater. The towels were clean but none of them were particularly absorbent. Bed was comfy and shower was nice. Entire place was well appointed. The neighboring properties were much closer than anticipated but everyone was friendly and gave us privacy and space. Sunset view was great and the stores and town of West Jefferson close by.

  Great location. Super peaceful. Close to a river access, hiking trails, downtown, and a really cool winery. Only 25-30 min from Boone. If you want somewhere to go to disconnect and be in nature, this tiny home is perfect. But you could also work from there if needed (Wi-fi worked well, decent cell service, Smart TV, etc)

  We have always wanted to stay in a tiny home and thought we would give it a try. I must say we had nothing short of a wonderful experience!The lodging was perfect for a romantic weekend. The views were breathtaking from sunup to sundown. We took advantage of all the local shops restaurants and a beautiful winery all within ten minutes away. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this vacation.
