As you wind your wind through the mountains and up the driveway to Simply Serene your cares of the hustle and bustle of your busy life is sure to disappear. As you top the circular driveaway, this cabin on five and half acres will have you relaxed and ready to enjoy a much-needed retreat.

Inside, you will find an open and airy living space with vaulted ceilings tailor-made for relaxing. Curl up on the leather sofa or recliner to catch up with your loved ones, scroll the cable channels on the flatscreen TV and light the gas fireplace to enhance the cozy mountain atmosphere. For those that must stay connected, there is high speed Wi-Fi available.

The full kitchen offers natural wood cabinetry and an island that will seat four comfortably for enjoying a wonderful family meal. The family cook will enjoy cooking in this well-equipped kitchen complete with gas range, refrigerator, and a dishwasher for easy, hassle-free cleanup.

Take your coffee outside to the large, covered porch complete with rocking chairs for catching up on the morning news on your mobile device or just watching for deer and squirrels passing by. There is also a dining table for four if you wish to enjoy a meal outside.

Venture down the steps to the stone patio where you will find Adirondack chairs around a fire pit, perfect for making s’mores or just enjoying a cool Carolina Mountain evening. In addition, there is another outdoor dining table complete with umbrella for enjoying your meal that was grilled on the outdoor charcoal grill.

Back inside just down the hall from the kitchen you will find a hall bath including tub/shower combo that is shared with the guest bedroom. The guest bedroom features a king size bed complete with cabin themed décor and a flat screen tv that is adjustable for your viewing pleasure.

The master suite features a comfy king bed, flatscreen TV and the bath offers a step-in shower.

You are sure to love exploring the grounds and watching nature, however if you need to head into town, the towns of West Jefferson & Jefferson are just a short 15-minute drive away and the world famous Shatley Springs restaurant is on your way! Boone is a 40-minute drive. The New River is nearby and there are numerous outfitters for planning a canoe or rafting trip. For some winter fun, head to one of our three most popular ski resorts: Appalachian Ski Mtn, Sugar Mtn, or Beech Mtn.

  Wonderful cabin in a spectacular location. Easy to find and get to. Driveway is very steep and not paved, so some vehicles may not do well getting up. Very private and isolated, yet not far from downtown West jefferson for meals and entertainment, but if you dont want to leave you dont have to. Cabin is well appointed, has everything you need for a short or long stay. Hot tub, fire pit, grill etc. Comfortable, clean beds. Zero complaints on our stay, will definitely return!

  The guest toilet was either used or not cleaned. sanitary label that stretches across the toilet seat was torn and laying in the bottom of the bowl. Rules for the hot tub list several penalties and are strictly enforced. The condition of the hot tub was cloudy, gritty, and smelled like fish. Which was a huge disappointment. The same for the fire pit yet the fire pit was full of water. The two features we enjoy the most were a complete letdown.

  The cabin was wonderful, unfortunately our trip was cut short due to our sick dog, so we didn’t even spend one night in the cabin. What I can say is that the cabin was clean and well-equipped. It is in a secluded area, so it appears to be very relaxing. We had water issues when we checked-in, but the management was quick to send a maintenance person to resolve the problem. This would be a great place to stay if you’re looking to get away from it all!

  Fantastic Stay. Peaceful, very well-maintained property, nice hot tub. The porch was our favorite place to hang out. Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, owner provides lots of extras. Wi-Fi works great. Jennifer provided excellent communication. Just the right distance to town for us. Perfect location if you want to explore the mountains. Easy picturesque drives to Tennessee and Virginia. We loved it so much we extended our stay!

  We are always last minute and the staff at CMP is always so accommodating with my 4:30 calls on a Friday to check in later the same day. The house was clean and ready for us and while we usually stay on the river, this quiet solitude was perfect for us. The house had everything we needed and as per the usual, the photos don’t do it enough justice. Not too big, not too small, with ample seating in various places like the rockers on the porch or the very nice Adirondack chairs by the fire. Switchback into the gravel drive was a little tricky for our vehicle but we still had very few problems in our Ford Flex (heavy, low to the ground, not the best mountain vehicle). We would absolutely stay here again and we will undoubtedly choose CMP for our next Jefferson area adventures!

  We loved this place! We've stayed at various places in the mountains and this house really impressed us. The house was very clean, linens were nice and the home was great and super comfy. The property is very private, and we enjoyed dinners on the back deck and fires in the fire pit. If you're there on a Sunday definitely check out River House which is only a few minutes away... live music and a 4-course meal in a beautiful setting.
